I as well would like to see the numbers without nursing homes. If we are shutting down businesses because of most cases being in nursing homes again, that is bullshit.
Iād also love to see the hospitalization numbers actually shown the right away. Not just people admitted to hospitals but the percentage of beds taken. Reports are saying that patients are being released a hell of a lot quicker now than they were and all we see are reports of how many people are being hospitalized.
I also donāt see us going to red until after Thanksgiving.
As for businesses, itās sad all the local businesses are going to be forced to shut down weeks before Christmas, one of the biggest holidays to support local shopping. (At least Iād figure) So all big retailers will profit while local businesses suffer even more during a time they desperately need this holiday.
I saw some picture the other day showing the wealth increase in the billions for the major big biz like Walmart and Amazon etc during covid. In that same picture showing that small biz lost 600 billion because of covid.
Between dropping my school aged kids off at essential day care at $80 a day and driving into essential work where I am on a computer all day; I was listening to the AM radio to David Bellavia and Robby was on.
paraphrasing:
"On Saturday we are having a food and toy drive for KIA (killed in action) in Lackawanna. "
āMonday 11/30 I am calling on ALL business to open their doors.ā
Itās absurd thereās no stimulus to help these people who are getting fucked by shutdowns.
Speaking of which, down here in FL, one of the COVID testing centers is being held at a Senior Citizens community. I confirmed with my friend who is a nurse and worked at that testing center, itās not even a drive through, the testing is done inside the building. Along the same lines as Cuomoās shenanigans with sending positive patients to nursing homes, whose bright idea was it to hold the testing inside a center here some of your most susceptible people are.
Iāll be honest, Iāve been living life like normal since Florida opened back up most of our stuff. Friends have been positive, with and without symptoms, but none required hospitalization and all recovered in days to weeks. Many of my friends are 65+ years old too.
Iām hearing a lot of great things about Florida these days.
This isnāt going away though. Edmonton just approved mask mandate for all of 2021.
lol.
Also as a side note, Iāve been seeing a few local Puerto Ricans wearing that clear plastic mask of yours in what I assume is an unironic manor.
god bless fucking freedom to take the risks I deem are acceptable without government getting involved.
This is my wifeās coworker I was taking about a few posts back.
This is my dadās cousin, small world.
Hopefully you all had fun killing grandmas yesterday.
Donāt worry though, the malls are open.
the golf dome is open lol
So this seems pretty bullshit if you ask me. Pretty much if you have the money, here is your loop hole for crossing the border during covid. Not exactly thrilled as it seems the flight pattern they are giving this helicopter goes right over my neighborhood several times a day.
I agreeā¦ HOWEVER this might be a way to get my in-laws down to the states.
