Crash on the 33 as a result of street racing

They are very inconstant. Have had a few let me off doing crazy ass stuff and a few that talked to me like crap even when I was being polite.

Anyone see the cell phone video of it on facebook? I wish I hadn’t

Link? Or is it that bad?

I’m pretty sure facebook removed every copy of it. It was of the first responding cops trying to get the kid out, you could hear the cop talking to him as the car was burning then eventually the cops just stopped trying as the fire got huge.

Yeah I unfortunately saw that Facebook video. It was bad.

as far as city cops go, I’ve been written a ticket for having my registration sticker placed above my inspection sticker. That was the only reason he pulled me over. Went to court, judge made the fine $0, still got slapped with the $80 nys surcharge or whatever

watched him testify against 6 people who rolled through stop signs at the same intersection before my name was called. Not all Italians love pasta, not all black people will steal your shit, and not all buffalo cops aren’t sticklers for bullshit laws.

Kevin Wayne Brown, 47 is the deceased driver of the BMW.

They tried doing that to me once. I got them all dropped because you can’t write multiple tickets for the same infraction.

Suck it, City of Buffalo.

same here

must have been a while ago. laws have changed now. I looked into it.

Oh and that same cop decided to bring his buddy to the car too who hit my passenger window like he was trying to break it. They were super pleasant.

The hartless comments people post about someone’s misfortunes blows my mind. Anyone who saw the cell phone video of the EMT’s trying to get the guy out before the cops or fire department showed up knows the news did not show the full story. Nobody should ever have to sit in their car and slowly burn to death helplessly while watching people’s failed attempts and helping them. We have all made simular choices to street race, or even run from the cops once. I have heard many stories from many of you guys from back in the UBRF days all the way to now. Lots of you have done it. So I don’t want to hear about “thinning the gene pool” or any ignorant comments like that. Grow up. Someone died. Be respectful.
RIP Wayne.

Rip. I saw this on Facebook and wondered what happened. Horrible.

Seems odd that a guy that age would pop out at 1:15am for a street race.

Works said she has heard from several other neighbors and witnesses that the crash was caused by a police chase – not a race with another vehicle.

What model was the car.? Was there another driver? Did they stop? Based on the missing chunk of guardrail up top and the position of the car in the 33,is the above Rd perpendicular?

This.

The road is perpendicular to humboldt and the 33. It’s a one way street heading from humboldt to Main.

While I agree with it sucking to burn to death and we’ve made similar choices…doing 30mph-120mph pulls on the thruway at 1:00 am isn’t nearly the same as 100 mph down Main St in Buffalo at the same time of night.

Shortly before his car tumbled through a guardrail and burst into flames on the Kensington Expressway, the driver who died in an early-morning crash Saturday had been initially involved in a chase with a Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority officer, a spokesperson confirmed.

“Street racing” -> authorities see him -> he runs from them -> fiery death.

Buffalo police accident investigators say the other vehicle also crashed. That driver is being questioned by police. A section of the 33 from Best Street to the 198 remains closed in both directions.

The other guy crashed too?

Uh no, no we haven’t.

That’s a long one way to he going the wrong way down. I just mapped it

:word:

Everyone is looking to blame the cops for this…

He made the choice to run and crashing is a risk you take he could have easily killed a innocent
person.

It sucks for friends, family, and everyone involved but a large group of people is trying to blame the cops for chasing someone who was running from them. I’m guessing this is the same group that blames cops when bike riders run and crash.
