A husband and wife are in hospital with serious injuries after another crash in which street racing is suspected.
A red Mazda Miata, seen racing with a Pontiac, slammed into the back of Pontiac Sunfire in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Allen Rd. a little after 8 p.m. tonight, said Sgt. Cam Woolley of Ontario Provincial Police.
“Witnesses report the Pontiac and Mazda doing well in excess 150,” he said.
The Scarborough couple, in their 50s, were sent to Sunnybrook hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP have a 35-year-old man in custody for street racing and Woolley said charges related to dangerous driving causing bodily harm are likely.
Police are still seeking the driver of a dark-coloured Pontiac, possibly a Grand Prix, and are asking witnesses to call the Toronto detachment of the OPP at 416-235-4981 if they have any information about the incident.
this is getting ridiculous … with more and more stupid incidences like this, the worse it gets for all of us :mad: EVEN if the accident wasn’t directly street racing related, if the media places those two key words in the story, it automatically becomes associated and works against anyone who has a modified car now :mad:
at any rate, expect more heat from the police now :mad:

This is what happens when people like this think they know how to drive…
What i Don’t get is that almost all these reported accidents includes unmodified cars, no S#### they crash because the stock cars can’t handle the excessive speed. or young kids with modified cars!!!

stuff like this is killing the car mod game, there are people who street race but not immature like this, this is usually the ego of the kids wich gets larger than their driving skill, and they push the limit because of that and crash.
everyone here know older people even with modded cars do street race but not like this, maby a few kmh in a staright and thats it.
now i know why people generally think street racers are immature kids who crash and kill people, because they are the one’s who just do that, the older ones don’t.So the cops think like everyone else, that all modified cars are owned by stupid kids, hense we all get the same royal treatment!!!
…and you’ll never hear about a mature modified car owner manuvering out of an accident because of his skill and car!!!
honestly… if i get hassel imah flip out on a cop im dead serious. maybe this wasnt even a street racing accident they’re just tryna say that so they can get backed up by people in the community if they pass gay laws… im sorry but im getting F****ING PISSED OFF!!!
i seen that on the news tonight they had a thing pullin a bunch of cars over for racing, apparently people are callin the cops and tellin them of dangerous drivers now on the 400’s
^^^^Yup thats true i was watching the news over this weekend, and the police has given people the power now, they gave them a way to text or send the info of a car they see racing with the plate number.
The way regular people drive, i’m going call on as many mini van drivers as possible, they are A## when they drive, this is Bull S##, most people or haters are going to play this system now, by calling in on modified cars and giving false racing tips.
Funny thing just saw a saturn ion redline, in dark blue with yellow fogs and blue headlights with white undebody neon kit zoom past us, and pulled right up beside two cop cars, the cops didn’t even look at him for longer than 2 seconds or follow him, his neon lights were also showing the tube and blinding the driver behind, whats up with that??? i know those things are illegal, while moving because i asked a cop about it before putting them on when i was 17, so i decided not to when the cop told me it was illegal.Thats not right :{
the blue mazda and the yellow tib are always at shoppers world tim hortons i see them there EVERY DAY…I MEAN EVERYDAY just soyou kno lol
i always see them rip it out of the parking lot down hwy 10 and left on to steeles towards the 410. im suprised it has taken this long for it to happen. none the less im not gunna lie, when i pull in and out of shoppers sometimes i give’r to let them all know whos DA BAWS! lol

I’ve seen this guy way back about a year or two,(if its the same guy)
when i think he first got his car, i used to see him everywhere from hwy10 where the shoppers timmies is to the other timmies where the new brampton court house is, and he drove wild, like he’s got a ferrari or somthing.
I’m wondering if its the same guy, because i’d be surprised if this guy wasn’t the one you’re talking about.
STREET racing is sooo stupid… theres no point of doing it…
i remember a black MR2 tried to race me… taunting me… but hey… he can get his car crushed! i love my skyline and i aint stupid enough to race him…

the news is on everyday so they need something new everyday. blaming street racing on every accident is one easy way. i think its the perfect time to rob a bank or bomb some places. i remeber with all the bomb threats they had back then they over rated it.
aslong as cops dont bug me im happy. but i will sure give them hell if they do.
yea it is the same guy, fat dude with a stupid barbwire tat on the back of his neck, he was also the front page of the sun today. yes sunday sun made his fat ass with his pizza pop elbo’s the front cover. i smiled and threw it in the garbage
