Crash on the 33 as a result of street racing

What im saying is the Neon/Mustang thing was a direct result of them racing…The accident happened during the race based on whatever evidence they had.

In this case the accident in this case was a direct result of the police chasing im curious if the family will try and do some wrongful death thing around that.

Obviously DAs and lawyers will do what they do but I think the first case was a much easier sell and based on the age of the people involved etc

Sadly our society entertains bullshit lawsuits like this. There had to be drugs, guns or some other reason he ran that way IMO. How likely is it for someone to go 100 down a street the wrong way because they were street racing. Seems odd to me.

They might try but it won’t go anywhere. The supreme court has ruled in several cases that unless the officer’s actions were grossly negligent they’re shielded from civil liability. Following someone (all reports say the cop had backed off and was stopping at stop signs) who’s blasting down a one way street the wrong way fast enough to launch onto the 33 is pretty far from negligent.

Have you ever seen a stop sign going the wrong way down a one way street? (I hope they meant he stopped before every intersection)

Was wondering if anyone noticed that as well, I heard the news report with the interview where he said the cop was stopping at all the stop signs.

And I was wondering how there were stop signs facing the wrong way on a one way street?

A big part of the previous racing incident that didn’t help Chris’ case was that he left the scene and just went home. I think they may have added fleeing the scene of a crime on top of the other charges. Doesn’t seem right how severe the punishment was for that, since it technically was the other drivers fault, but somebody needed to be an example.

^ Leaving the scene was the least of his problems…

According to the news yesterday he was close enough to hitting a car on the 33 that the concrete chunks that exploded out from that wall blew out all the windows of the car driving down the 33. Talk about your “oh shit” moments.
