Well the only thing different in that pic is we took the hood off(the one bolt that was left holding it :lol) and took the door off. The IM was not damaged at all nor was the OEM header(even though it’s behind the motor). However, the water pump was cracked, needed a new one($140). Other than that, motor was minty fresh!

Blood everywhere in the interior(steering wheel/airbag, seats, carpet, doors), dude’s scalp in the windshield :ohnoes Had to have been a young kid messing around, I can’t imagine a car barrel rolling and going end over end on accident lol, losing an entire wheel/hub/suspension.

i was thinking about that after seeing the pictures. i just dunno how cool i’d be with working on a vehicle where somebody was clearly severely injured or killed. did the kid survive that?

No idea if he survived, got the car from an auction in Mass. Car had Mass. registration stickers on it too. Working around the car was a hazard itself with all the glass and sharp metal edges. The seats were stolen while at my dad’s garage and I cleaned up the steering wheel and sold it w/ out the airbag ;D

Ouch. I know the header is behind the motor (I was planning on getting a Type-S before I got the SER, hence my 2500+ posts on CRSX :lol), I just figured the force of the crash would have pushed the whole subframe back and cracked it.

You got a great deal on a great motor, so that’s all that matters ;D

Believe it or not, there’s a solid, steel beam behind the dash and I think that’s what kept everything intact. It was a real heavy duty beam, couldn’t believe it.

a friend of mine’s lotus Exige… well whats left of it… he spent some time in the hospital after this
he suffered 3 broken vertebrae, broke all his ribs on one side, punctured a lung, ruptured spleen and lost alot of blood.

oh a private runway. definitely idiotic…and what’s even more fucked up is the kid posted in a thread the same day about this kind of activity and a bunch of bimmer dicks made reference to seeing him in a newspaper obituary or something…then he did that and took three other people out with him.
