Crashed on a snowboard into a Ski blader (video)

So I was in Killington, VT the other week snowboarding with my brother and his friends. The one guy decided to wear a hockey helmet and a jersey for the second day after seeing a guy with his Boston jersey on the day before. Well it worked out in his favor. In the video you see us cruising down the hill to a spot where we decide to ski the snowmakers and go to the right. Thats then the ski bladers foot gets taken out from under him and causes him to jet across the hill and fall in front of my path. Definitely thought it was a hospital run the second we crashed.

Anyways, heres the video for those that want a laugh. (camera snaps off my head after I landed on it)

LOLOLOL!!!

Looks like a sweet hill though!

lol at your ski-blading buddy with poles. That was a gnarly wipeout!

I was thinking the same thing. I never used poles when I snowblade. It’s easier to stay real low and balanced without them.

Your friend looks like a fool lol

That he does! lol He did it for a joke, but hell… saved us a hospital visit and served a purpose for sure.

As for poles with the ski blades, yeah, not my cup of tea…yet neither is the ski blades in the first place. lol

Ski blades were cool… well… acceptable in '01.

That would be the case for sure!!!

i loved when the camera went tumbling.

Jesus that’s a lot of rolling

Yeah, I thought it snapped the plastic on the helmet. I lucked out.

You know it was the camera only on that right? I did about 2 tumbles and a slide.

Looks like you did a good job and trying to avoid him. How were the conditions? I was at Sunday River in Maine over the weekend and it was awesome. We got blown off the mountain on sunday though got a voucher for another day. I thought I heard someone say they were handing out vultures… I wanted a vulture.

fixed.

It’s true. A LOT of people that used to board are switching back to Skiing. Snowboarding is still a very relevant sport, but I get what you’re saying.

Conditions werent bad. Had a decent amount of snow but still like skiing around here in the early morning. Fresh till it gets pushed around. Out there it took till about 1-2 before conditions were noticably different.

I was SHOCKED how outnumbered by skiiers I was in Colorado. Snowboarding seems to be more popular in the northeast than anywhere else.

Yeah, I heard a bunch of places in UT are skiers only. Damn pizza and frenchfry lovers!
