Just got back from One Eyed Jacks In Lockport after hearing many good things, and i gotta say it was just OK. it did not quench my appetite for BBQ. wasnt bad, but for the price i’m not thinkin i’ll be back

They start cooking their shit at like 9am, and the wind blows all the smells right in to our shop.
In the middle of fucking welds and all I can think about are giant pigs with an apple in their mouth. (Aside from the occasional wiff of something burning that’s not supposed to be)

Never thought I’d have to deal with that, but it’s annoying as piss!
Smelling BBQ 5+ hours a day, and it’s expensive as fuck so i don’t go there :]
But anyway.
I guess it’s really good, just expensive as all fuck.

Al E Oops on Genesee/Harris Hill is another worth mentioning.
Kentucky Gregs is one of my favorite places as well,I recommend the Brunswick stew,pulled pork and the fried banana peppers as an appetizer.
I want to try sticky lips in rochester I have heard awesome stuff about it.

I just ate at BW’s yesterday. Had the Smoke Brisket. It was really good, fell apart at the touch of a fork. The service was really great too, and it is usually just OK.
All the good ones have been mentioned. BW’s, Greg’s and Al-e-oops are all pretty damn good. Nothing compares to Dinosaur though (in NY at least).

Pulled Pork at The Buffalo Room on Delaware in Kenmore is amazing.
Actually all the food there is amazing
taste of Texas in Spencerport (near Rochester) Is by far the best local BBQ here in Rochester.
