I like the baseball stitching a lot. Coming along nicely.

thanks, the steering wheel will have the same baseball style. Id love to get the front/rear seats done to match the steering wheel. Then the interior would be just about complete.

Yeah that’d be baller… what filler are you guys using on the bay?

I used the autobody stuff from advanced. I thought all bondo was bondo but i was wrong. I picked up some filler called icing from schenectady auto body. adam said its the shit and much easier to work with

Yeah nobody uses actual Bondo brand from what I’ve seen. Evercoat makes a lot of popular products, but I’ll check out that Icey stuff, thanks for the tip.

Its called Icing :lol

Im gonna try to make it over at some point tomorrow and get some more done, been busy and a little sore lately :lmao

Oh, Jesus :rofl I used that and Evercoat Rage at school.

haha i knew i had it wrong. i was there today got some shit done on the bike.

Im picking up another heater tomorrow, no more kerosene…

What is the plan for the fuel and brake lines?

He is doing a fuel and brake line delete.

I’m going to locate the proportion valve behind the firewall on the passenger side. From there measure the length i need for each caliper. Shako in latham can make braded lines in any length with any fitting you need. Not sure of the cost but i dont really care at this point. no more ABS

I’m not planning on doing anything with the fuel lines. I already replaced one of them when i took out the nitrous system and it was rather expensive to buy.

Nice, I’m still deciding where to put my prop valve. Kinda tough when keeping heat. If you end up wanting to to hardline and fittings, which is much cheaper than the braided lines, let me know because I have the best tools for it. Same for the fuel lines if you end up wanting to go braided with those. Sorry for all the questions, just typing them as I think of them.

I tossed my prop valve right behind my center console against the firewall. I would like to redo them a long with my fuel lines eventually.

did you use steel lines and bend/flair them?

Update time!
Bay is coming along nicely… firewall looks good adam

Got the motor all cleaned up, starting to put it all back together. This Skunk2 manifold cuts out alot of BS that is not needed, i like it.

A few questions:

  • When hiding brake lines on the interior side of firewall, whats the best way to route them to the front calipers w.o seeing them?
  • Has anyone ever used full stainless braided lines? as in the entire brake line is braided, not just the last foot or so.

Looks good dude. What did you use for painting the motor?

There’s flat spots on the insides of the wheel wells. It’s hard to describe but you’ll see them if you look. Drill through there to the inside of the car and route the lines through there using bulkhead fittings. And there are several people who have entire braided systems. Just make sure you are using specialty brake line.

Found a good pic of where I mean

Yeah its comin along, that primer is balls though :lol doesnt cover too well. Its all good though b/c its basically just guide coat right now to see where Im at.

And WTF, when did you get that bike?? Looks sick dude!

Yeah im going to do my research before i buy any lines. Thanks for the pic i kno exactly what im going to do now.

stallmer i pwashed and degreased everything back in the fall when it was still warm out. I then used a wire brush/wheel over everything i could get at. Let it sit in front of my heater for about an hr then two coats primer two coats base like 5 coats clear haha. All dupli-color high temp paint. Spent about $25 on the paint. I hope it lasts but if it chips off or something i wont be pissed. When i build the motor im powder coating the whole fucking thing.

and adam I’v been looking at it for a few days and finally got to see it today. Got a smokin deal on it! couldn’t pass it up. I pick it up monday.
