I think it is funny how all the bench racers are the first to critique and criticize. Mike is one of the few people with an Evo that isn’t afraid to take his car to the track and frequently does. I have seen him cut better 60’ times then most other Evo owners in this area. Not to mention he runs similar quarter mile times to most local cars with hundreds more HP. It is easy to sit in an AWD 700 hp automatic truck and push down on the gas to go. Most people on this site wouldn’t even be able to drive Mikes car with the twin disk he has in it let alone launch it. If anything I think the reaction time of the Evo played a huge role in the outcome. I know from experience that when you are launching an evo reaction is the last thing on your mind.
Thumbs up to you Mike for having the balls to run this guy and being a good sport. I think you should have done it at the track but, it shows that your not afraid to use your Evo for what it is meant to do.

Mabey I mispoke. I’m more less pointing a finger at people who make ignorant comments when they don’t know what the whole situation is. Mike can drive his car and thats a fact. His reaction was a little off but, I didn’t see the car bog once it took off. Evo’s are very hard to launch and I think that many of the people on this forum think that you press a button and it goes because it is AWD. I also get the impression people are are making stupid coments to inflate their own ego’s. I could tell my one armed, one legged uncle to drive that truck and it is gonna hook. There is no skill involved at all.

The person using the camera didnt use the zoom, it was a pretty poor video to draw conclusions from. I posted this video to show something you dont see everyday, a nasty diesel truck that will RAPE from a dig. I didnt do it to show a good friend getting beat and try to knock his abilities. Put any one of you retards at the wheel and you still would have lost. The truck was just faster.
