The new Remote desktop client is DA SHIT!!!
I’m running it here and it’s so slick. I love how it will cube ALL the registered ARD clients and you can monitor them at a glance etc…

The reason why I ended up going to windows was ultimately the SSD drive I purchased to replace my failed hackintosh install drive required TRIM support.
Now if you select the right hardware then doing updates is pretty easy, but you should keep a super duper clone or Time Machine backup handy before doing one.
The absolute most important thing to do is select hardware that is known to work well. That allows you do a real non-hacked install of Snow Leopard.

In general P35/P45/P55 motherboards(preferably Gigabyte or Asus) with Intel Core2 or Intel Core i processors work well (sandy bridge is a no no still)
Nvidia 8800/9800 work easily, there are newer cards that work you’d have to research.
