So I’m installing an obd1 d15 in my 97 civic for temporary use.
The motor does not have a crank position sensor.
Does anyone know if an obd2 d16 oil pump will fit on the d15? I’m using everything else off the d16 motor, like the dizzy and both manifolds.
But the car won’t start without a crank shaft position sensor.
Its a crank fluctuation sensor, strictly for obd2 misfire detection. It will run without it I delete them all the time. not too sure how swapable the d pumps are though. You can tap the crank sensor wires to the dist wires at the ecu and have no codes…
I’ve done the bypass before. I might just do that again. Cuz i can always undo it
