d16 turbo idles rough.

then his latency is way off, and causing the issue. either way he obviously doesn’t know how to fix it. tuning modern engines isn’t as easy and just swapping jets.

He should start with his code. I made his basemap and yes obviously it’s for his 450’s. So that shouldn’t be an issue. Getting 450’s to idle well is simple.

edit: To guess before even talking to him, I imagine he switched his tps and map sensor plugs.

when people say basemap it is usaully talking about there new injector size. it just isnt fine tuned yet

Also bleed the coolant, that causing a bouncy idle in hondas.

It has nothing to do with coolant I’m sure

Don’t tell me what something usually means.

I can put a “basemap” on a car for a certain size injectors, run it for a year untuned, then swap out injectors and still have a “basemap” on the car.

The poster isn’t exactly clear with anything he writes.

“a basemap” doesn’t mean shit. When I built my honda, I ran the d16 motor on a b-series “basemap”.

This dude needs to get his car tuned.

ok, what you said newman is true. but when somebody tells me they have 450cc injectors and a basemap i generally think they have the basemap set up for the injector size that is all. yes he needs to get the car tuned its a simple solution

LOL how did that go

well, I never drove it on the map, just started it to check that the motor would run.

I let it warm up, and by the time it was warm, the patch of grass where the exhaust was emitting was completely black from running so rich.

i checked the cel and its a code for IAC idle air control valve im goin to swap that out and see what happens.

i ran my d series on biffs basemap.
ran awesome

any suggestions now hookin up the boost gauge im gettin no readings what so ever when revd not even a spike at all

what are you running vacuum from

make sure ur hooked up to manifold vac/pressure

maybe a boost leak somehwere in the mix. a boost leak could cause a wierd idle like that as well

I bought a eagle vac. block and have my bov waistegate and boost gauge hooked up to it

I wil be hookin up the new iac tomarow and see how that goes. fix the coolant and oil leak and get it tuned

i bet you have the wrong plug going into the iacv or something very simple, was it hooked up using a resistor box?

yea andy from swerve hooked up resitor box I pluged the iac back in and the idle was crap I swtich the plugs around as by told by andy and my car wouldnt even start unless I forced it to start
