needs a little work, some upholstery, top, etc. but overall not too bad. another cruiser.

lol so much for keeping it quiet.

was i supposed to?

needs some hydraulics and wire wheels … and more chrome

lol snoop daddy dad

throw a tri-power set up on it, nice car!

if im not mistaken i think it does have tri-power. (carbs right?) he was telling me some stuff about it, pretty sure he mentioned that.

either way, its not really for power, its a cruiser. just like the monte carlo. he “cleaned up” the power he had on the monte carlo with a carb, tuning and ignition parts, but thats about it. he swapped the th400 for a built 700r4 and matching converter by comp trans, and put my old 3:73 gears in. if he puts any more power through that trans, its not going to like it. just a cruiser.

i would really really like to do a joint project with him, a '67 chevelle with a 454 lsx engine in it. it would be a cruiser, and the engine would be more for glamor than anything else.

something like this (minus the gay hood deal they did there)

yeah tri-power is 3 2-barrel carbs
what engine is in it?

i think he said 389ci

nice car! that gay hood on that chevelle though? thats a 67 SS hood… whys that gay?

they cut it on the side there so they could open it backwards like on a vette. i didnt post the pictures where it shows this because it totally ruins it. you can see the cut in the first picture i posted. minus that, thats a sweet car, probably #1 on my list for classic cars i want to build in my lifetime

btw, he didn’t buy that chevelle, he bought that bonneville posted up a couple posts. the chevelle is just a project car i’d like to do with my dad

That’s a beautiful Bonnie. Ragtop too, it don’t get much nicer for cruising. It’s a little staid for my taste, but that’s cherry as hell. Seat getting reupholstered?

PS, the Monte pics on the front page quit working.

yea the seats will probably be the first thing to be done on the car. not my first choice in cars either, but not a bad car by any means. i like that he’s finally starting to buy some toys for himself. they arent exactly big money cars either, which is nice

yea i was using the ebay hosted pictures of the monte. same with these; i better rehost them before they go down. ill have to find some other pictures of the MC. i was actually in it today looking for x-mas ideas

Nice new purchase.
It’s like potato chips. You can’t have just one.

I love The rear ends on the 62 pontiacs. The tail light flow is so nice. I like the stock 8lug wheels the best on the big pontiacs.

Do u stil have pics of the monte carlo , my dad probably has the same car

have some pics somewhere but not on the computer

:bsflag:

someone asked for pics of the monte… nothing special but here ya go:

i was redoing the stereo system with a new amp and all new wiring from circuit city’s unreal hackjob. that turned into a much bigger project LOL. while the dash was out, my dad wanted me to look at another problem. turns out the printed circuit looked like someone was eating it for lunch causing some faulty gauges, so that was ordered, along with a new cluster, lol. my dad and my neighbor ended up restoring the dash. (stripped it, cleaned it and resprayed it, and painted on the silver rings around the gauges with model car paint. looks REAL nice now. a lot of other maintenance was done to the car too, lol, but that’s not too exciting. at least it will be ready to rock in spring
