Looks like you’ll have to find the date codes stamped on the block, or look for a buck tag on the body.

nice bill’s dad  Leave it stock and enjoy it!!
someone tole me once if u take out the front seats…on the bottom pan there is a spec list…i dunno how true it is
sometimes theres build sheets in the car
Usually if it has one its up on the springs on the underside of the front seats but they can be anywhere in the car…if one was left in it that is
Word, I was lucky enough to find mine. Chances are good that it’s A.) gone B.) rotted away or C.) really well hidden.
Awesome car, keep us posted if he does anything to it.
cool car. i heard top of the gas tank for spec sheets too.
:word:
Bill, on my 2 2nd gen Z28’s the build sheet was tucked into the upright portion of the backseats, in the springs. You could see one of them just by popping the trunk. The other one took 2 bolts to undo the seat portion, and then it flipped up revealing the sheet. The sheets are taped somewhere on the car (windshield) as the car goes down the line, and each station puts the necessary parts onto the car as it travels. The sheet will tell you every little detail about it. Go onto a Monte site, and see if there is a particular spot where the stuffed them after the car was done going down the line.
Nice…if the motor isn’t number matching then it doesn’t matter if you mod it period.
I love the old school muscle.
thanks for the tips and compliments guys.
i said this to my dad this morning… as much as it’s nice to say “my car is a true (whatever) car”… in this instance, even the real MC SS’s aren’t really worth anything substantial so who gives a shit. This is a driver. and he agreed.
We will check on those things though. The current owner didn’t have the build sheet but we will do a little research. I believe it is a true 454 ss, but i guess we shall see
does it have the plate bill?
that car would be awesome to go cruisin in, looks real nice
