I’ve been in touch with some of teh DN guys and this is what they are offering:

I won’t be going due to the intended police presence.

Think last year was bad? Ha.

Its not worth having $1000+ in tickets and my car impounded to go to
another import ricefest.

My car is too crappy atm to be in this but I wouldn’t mind seeing a SON booth to rep us. Or maybe we should put a bunch or the POS SON cars in the show to keep people from buying our cars. lol. I’ll be at the show though if I can find my proof of purchase from my autoshow subscription.

i’m with andrew, and besides you can’t have flatblack cars in a booth unless they have crazy rice vinal on the sides, or white racing stripes or somthing. Cause you know white racing strips are teh shit!

But seriously, it’s not worth it with the cop pressence, most of our cars are illegal in 1 way or another, it’s not worth the hassle

i dont get it guys… why do you pay money so people can look at your cars… the vendor gets ur money + spectator money… its like 100% profit

Some people enjoy going to car shows, it’s been like that for generations. The Hot Rod shows always get the older guys attention.

It is not 100%, by the time you deal with insurance, costs, rental, and other overhead costs (ie. police, employees, promotion).

I was gonna say that, well except for the 100% profit part. I was gonna ask why anyone would want to pay to let people look at their car, when those people are paying someone else to be able to look at it.

It’s the same reason why people get together in a parking lot meet.
Minus the $40 charge to get in the parking lot. :shock:

Meeting in a parking lot is one thing, paying to display your car is another.

I never got the idea of paying to enter a show, they should pay you.

The only reason I could understand is at DX2 where you get cheaper
entrace if you are going anyways.

Hey i’ll be @ Dk, im entering my car in the show, (even tho i dont have a chance…it will still be good times) i didnt know SON was planing on doing a booth, that will be pretty dope if some of you guys do it.

Anyways look for me, i’ll be there for sure.

won’t be plagued with PO.
