Dash Lights and Heads up will not @#$@ come on after a bit

Hey all.

I have a 93 240 sx automatic. The dash lights and the heads up display take depending on how warm or cold it is outside a long time to come on. If the temp outside is about 100 or so then there is no problem for them to come on in a bit but if cold outside it will take upwards of 20 mins sometimes for them to come on. By that time I already broke the speed limit laws on the way to work! For the last two years it has gotten worse, taken more time to come on no matter what the conditions are outside. So I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and how they fixed it. This is such an anoying problem and would much appreciate someones help thanks.

tsk tsk … its caused by cracks in soldier and when it is either humid or very hot it will make a proper connection and your illumination and HUD will start working again.

This is a very common problem with S13 HUB clusters as well as tons of other digital clusters on cars everywhere.
