**the following is all hypothetical and is in no way shape or form reality. This is merely a “what if” scenario. *****
I just realized and found out that the VIN Plate on my dashboard is different to my chassis VIN number and ownership VIN number.
My ownership matches the chassis firewall number but the dash does not.
I asked the previous owner about it and apparently the dash has been changed without changing the plate.
What are my options here? Obviously, I need the plate changed to match my firewall and ownership but I have no idea where to go for such a thing.
I don’t really want to contact the MTO about it just yet as I am afraif they will sieze the car for inspection or something. I’m not worried that it will fail an inspection and have no doubt on the validity of the dash change, I just don’t want to go through the hassle of all that.
Any help appreciated and yeah, this blows, I can’t get a legit E-test until this is resolved, if I get pulled over and po po decides to get curious, I’m also pretty sure I lose my car.
Pm me, call me, email me or post up if you have any info to help out with this hypothetical situation.
