Dave Brigg's fuel setup?

I am curious what it is?

Since I’m getting some chassis work done front and back… i am trying to figure out what sort of fuel setup to go with…

Some kind of rectangular tank… 12gallon ish?

I will either go with a VQ or LS v8… so 400whp at most more than likely… but to be safe up to 500whp. With a VQ somewhere in low-mid 300whp? So in other words nothing crazy.

Right now I have a stock tank and a wallbro 255lph…

I’ve never done anything quite like it… and I mostly know about suspension shit rather than engine and fuel stuff…

There’s so many variations of options…

How much would i be looking at $$$?

Some advice would be appreciated

Look @ Aeromotive’s line up.
I hate to sound like another “I just haz readz interwebz and knowz everythang about carzizizi” but I just see a lot of the Formula D guys run Aeromotive fuel setups.

yea i really have little knowledge on this shit straight up… only stuff that makes sense to me suspension buildup/tuning… cuz thats pretty much all ive focused on for the last 7 years ive owned the car lol…

I like these setups:

The vivid racing LS13

This guy I just saw on zilvia, i contacted him and waiting for some info, from what i gather he welded the fuel cell setup himself.

Love how they look and im sure they can more than handle the power for my goals…

This is pretty damn sexy:

Just don’t forget the cost of AN lines and fittings lol. But, you seem to know what you’re doing  Looking forward to the result.

To simplify the shit for myself I would love to find a complete drop in solution where all that matters is to weld a holder in place. Seriously… as from all the searching I’ve done there are just too many customization options and it just confuses me…

I pretty much care that the fuel gauge works, that the cell filler hole can be tubed to the stock fuel door, that the fuel cell be about 12 gallon, that it be compact enough, as I will get a diffuser built in the rear down the line as well…

Whether its ATL or aero-motive i really don’t care, but the more cost effective the better… I don’t have money growing on trees although I wish lol… but I’ll need to find a solution…

There’s a good place to get some idea of what you’re looking at.
Sorry I keep posting Aeromotive stuff, it’s just cause their name always pops up in regards to fuel management whenever I’m reading quality builds.

Why do you need a cell?

This

^Funny guy

Getting tube work done front and rear. Getting rid of stock tank.

Never mind the fuel what kind of bloody engine work dose he have to rev to 90000 rpms!

where’d you get this info that he needs to rev to 90k rpms?

Anyways ignore the son240sxerrie…

Here is something I found which looks promising…

http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/stealth-fuel-systems/18664-15g-340-stealth-fuel-cell/

This came out just this year too… aeromotive stealth fuel cell setup which should in theory be everything ready to go, just strap in… previously i remember finding the a1000 setups but thats so damn overkill… 1000hp+… it was 800$ for the complete solution… this apparently is more reasonable and should be 200$ less… and still apparently good for 700hp which is STILL overkill but i havent found anything other yet…

That is a badass setup^^^ especially the filler neck

Oh and I tried emailing aeromotive, as they are closed now for phone… my email to both info and tech emails bounced back :-/ Lame…

hmm… I always thought the stock fuel tank with a swirl tank was more than good enough for most track cars.

dude to do a proper fuel system you cant just “drop” it in. how will you make a “drop” in kit fit with aero and working around the cage.

You’re right a wallbro is more than enough for most anybody… that’s why I said that setup that can handle 700hp+ is still even overkill but so far is the only drop in solution that i can find… Only time i had fuel starvation was when that stock swirl thing broke inside the stock tank… i got serious fuel starvation under hard cornering obviously… but that was fixed. I have a wallbro and it works I’d recommend stock tank and walbro for anybody that is not doing anything crazy to their car (eg; rear end in my case). I need to get rid of the stock tank for the tube work in the rear…

Those aeromotive stealth fuel cell kits are drop in. You don’t need any of the external pumps or extra gizmos… (which make my head spin too) just the lines and fittings which obviously is not ‘buy and install’ but still better off than sourcing each individual bit and piece.

trust me your wasting your money if you buy a pre setup kit. Do you research and plan where you want stuff to be. buy the pumps, buy the lines and fittings. I’ll be at cscs this weekend with a buddy who spent a whole winter planning his fuel system on a fc. take a look at it.

dave brigs car red lines at 9k rpm not 90 k lol

Uhh, why not just PM him? Im pretty sure he is on here…
