They inspected the car. Did they pass it when they shouldn’t have? Will the two old tires fail inspection by a shop that has no interest in passing it? If so, or if there’s anything else that should have failed inspection, call them out on it and make sure they know that you are going to file a complaint at the DMV. Shops don’t like DMV investigations.
Otherwise she’s probably SOL and this was a learning experience.

the honda element does not have full time AWD, it only engages the rear when there is front slip and even then it’s only below something like 40mph. It does not need to even wear on the tires and you would expect the fronts to wear a lot faster.
it’s retarded that you tried to get 4 tires out of the dealer for this and I’d be a dick to you if I worked for them and you tried to pull this stunt because you obviously are over reacting and have no idea what you’re talking about.
what do you do? You rotate the rears to the front and take it back to the dealer and ask nicely for them to inspect for a leak in one of the tires.

dealers are such a bunch of dirtbags, they always screw people and it’s always thier fault! Seriously guys? I am lied to, stolen from and screwed by more cutomers than I can count while I still try to take the high road. I don’t want to hear about how shitty car dealers are.
Remember, it’s not always the dealers fault and sometimes people make mistakes.
I would simply ask them to help out and come to a reasonable solution. Splitting the tires doesn’t sound like it’s unreasonable, especially if 2 out of 4 are new. When buying a car you shoud always make sure there isn’t anything you want changed before purchasing. If someone lowered their price already and you want more things done then some of it will get done and some if it won’t… no one works for free. I know plenty of managers at West Herr, feel free to contact me if you want me to call them for you to try and get this resolved. I would be happy to.

This goes back to what Beck said. “Hosed” is a mindset of a victim. Victims create their own reality in one way or another (I’m as guilty as others from time to time). Being reasonable with demands will get you far. Accepting your share of the blame (as the buyer) is a big step in opening negotiations. The reality is once driven off the lot, the title is processed and you own the car. Switching titles isn’t reasonable at all. It’s not at all like returning a pair of pants or something. Returning a car is like returning a used dildo…you’ve put your fluids (so to speak) on the title. LOL
Delivery was accepted and nothing further is owed essentially. So demands fall on deaf ears, where negotiations may get you what you want.
I don’t know you jam…and surely I’m not saying YOU are to blame. I would think the car should have been looked over or postpone buying till it can be looked over. Just my 2 cents anyhow. GL with your negotiations.
On the bright side of the situation, Cait really does love her car. We talked about it the whole way to the movie last night. It’s a total bummer that her excitement over her new car is ruined because of tires!
