12+ people have crashed on that course. The officials area going to raise the wall.
They may start lower on the course to keep speeds down a bit.
if they are running for time can they make a change like that? or is this a different heat?
They havn’t started any competition, was all practice to this point.
Terrible thing to happen. RIP. They built a temp wall where this happened to prevent it from happening again. Too little to late though…

Doesn’t matter if the track didn’t “cause” the lugers death… he shouldn’t have to die for a mistake he made.
^ I completly agree, provisions in other sports are taken to prevent players and spectator injuries, take hockey, nets to protect spectators and seamless glass to lessen the impact of hits. This was a design flaw on a $100 million course, that’s disgusting that they couldn’t realize this before that tradgedy.
