need some warranty work done on the tahoe… long story short, the dealer that installed my engine in SC did a so-so job and although the engine is mechanically sound, i have some minor oil leaks that need to be addressed… i want someone who has competent techs that actually give a shit about their work, not some hack that is going to half ass it… so that being said, which dealer should i take it to for this?
I personally would go to depaula.
But i am biased because my father knows a majority of the techs.
denooyer or northstar. If you go to denooyer hopefully steve combs works on your shit, if so be smart and throw the guy a couple bucks. Out of curiousity GM crate engine?
2nd denooyer
reman crate (version 2.0)… the first one they put in locked up after 120 miles… this one has oil leaking from 2 head bolts and one of the valve cover bolts… neither are big leaks at all, but i’m pretty anal about shit like that and i want it fixed correctly… i really wish i had the extra $500 for the gm crate engine at the time but $4500 was my limit since i had to move up here and needed funds for the move too… not saying this engine is bad by any means, just needs some loose ends tied up

I used to work at DePaula and know the guys there. Most of them are pretty good. I just bought my car in Ohio and need some leaks fixed and I’m bringing my car there on Monday. Good luck wherever you go.
