manufacturers warranty

ok so i have my exhaust and want to put it on. i just noticed the pinion seal is leaking on my rearend. i was just wondering if anybody has had an aftermarket exhuast ( 4" that deletes stock cat and muffler) on their vehicle and taken it back for warranty work and if they were given a hard time. preferably at denooyer. any input would be sweet. and if anybody has delt with other dealerships that input would also be sweet

thanks!

Just to be safe go have it fixed before you put the exhaust on

most of the time ,exh will only void the exh portion of warr .byt with gm bein in the slump they are it may get denied seein as they list it as any aftermarket add on voids warr.if you also deleted cat and so on you can get fucked with for tampering with emmisions components seein as most homos are goin green how bad i the seal leaking ?most gm,s do weep if it aint leavin drips just clean it and watch it if the exh is on already

Dennoyer wouldnt fix my buddys vette that he bought from them with a head/cam/nitrous setup which they told him they would warranty the car for 100k miles…

well the rear end blew and they said since it was modded they wouldnt fix it…well, he bought it from them that way and didnt change a damn thing. They went back on their word.

Dodge world tried to get out of giving my car a new motor because they blamed my “headers” caused a cylinder 5 meltdown.

dealerships will try to save as much money as they can. Have it fixed before you mod it.

Exhaust shouldnt affect a rear end warranty in any kind of way.

Of course Denooyer will probably try to sell you a power steering flush or something stupid like they did to me when I took my parents old Caravan in for brakes.

Im not a big fan of Denooyer, there was one guy that used to work there that told me if i ever bring my vette back, to let him know. He wouldnt trust half the tards that work there. I dont think he works there anymore thou…

yeah i figured if they give me a hard time i can go to a different dealer. its a manufacturers warranty so its good at any gm dealership. do you guys have any other dealerships that are better then denooyer?

Northstar

tell them the Lawn care kid Andrew with the White Camaro SS sent you there…they will hook you up. Their also on the slow side right now.

I went to DePaula to have a bunch of things fixed (steering int. shaft, leaking axle seals, etc) and they didn’t care that I was modded. They were quick too, only took them about 2 hours or so to get everything done. Didn’t cost me a dime either.

I personally don’t trust Denooyer to work on my vehicles (and my parents feel the same way about theirs) because this is what my at the time brand new car looked like when I picked it up from them after getting warranty work done:

Do me a favor and don’t bring your car there. The only thing I go there for now is my AC Delco oil filters because it’s the closest dealer to my house. If I need anything covered under warranty there is no way in hell I would go back to that place.

They did replace that entire quarter panel and do all of the bodywork in house free of charge for me, however. I did have to buy myself new wheels and 4 grand worth of new suspension components that they ruined though…

yeah def gonna hit up depaula i think… they really fucked your car up! damn man i would be pissed!

I was incredibly pissed. I was at Siena at the time and had a ton of schoolwork to do, so I didn’t really worry about the car too much.

It did suck going from that to an automatic cobalt LS for a month, though.

unf there isnt much choice in dealers now that gm is shuttin mot down norrthstar isnt bad ,denoyer sucks ass ,salsbury is done , pick what one ya want and go with it

Salisbury is done? Why am I not surprised?

Last time I went there for some simple warranty work they insisted on giving my car a thorough inspection and some bullshit fuel injector cleaning service. I told them my injectors were new with less than 1,000 miles on them and they still insisted that I get them “cleaned” :rofl

I told them since they failed to satisfy my needs as a customer I won’t be bringing my vehicle or any of my family’s GM vehicles there for anything.

My experience with depaula was great, simple in and out no bullshit service.

They voided my warrenty on my truck because of the gauge pillar and the exhaust. You have the same things done to your truck. Good luck. Oh and laugh at them when they tell you it has a programer and you don’t have one.

yeah they can look at the computer and see there is no tuner… but wat dealer did you go through? i think im gonna try depaula and see wat happens.

Goldstien GMC. I will never go there again in my life.

wow GM is a real PITA…

I took my 20 year old POS to Lia Nissan to get an INjector service done…

They dident care that my car was no longer automatic, half the shit in the engine bay was missing… Like emmisions etc…

Or that I had an exhaust with no CAT

Granted it took them 2 weeks to do fuckin injectors because they ordered the wrong parts but hey still got it done

Although they did tell me both my axles are completely shot…

Which is partly true… one CV join makes a little noise… and tried to give me a good price on new axles and labor…

It only would have costed me $800 per axle and $200 of labor per side :crazy

They tend not to care as much about older vehicles vs. warranty work on new vehicles.

Especially since the techs get paid less to do warranty work vs. standard labor.

Go to depaula. I know my Uncle has had them service his truck for the past 5 years and he’s had no problems with them

Well it wasnt warrnety work

it was a service campaign… and IIRC they get paid based on what the book says vs how much time that acctualy spent doing it much like warrenty work
