While I don’t support making people Join the military, I do however think there should be some sort of mandate that everyone must do a certain amount of volunteer work after HS. Be it being a firefighter, emt, military, working a soup kitchen, reading to children etc…whatever the case may be, EVRYBODY should do at least something to help out a little and make this country a better place. It would not be too much to ask. Even a few hours a week for a few weeks. People need to learn respect and courtesy for their fellow man. This would be a decent start.
