Demonoid Down??

Anyone else having trouble loading the demonoid.me page?

Its kinda load then I get a server busy error.

Samezees.

Yes…demonoid was taken down by the admins :snky:

Da fuck still uses demoniod?

I still do.

It has never let me down, so why not? I guess I don’t really put much time into this stuff anymore but what else is out there? Teach me your elite hacker ways!

I do for FLAC albums mainly or a movie even though I rarely watch them.

Soulseek is better for music though.

I think ChrisT might be the only one working for the site doing tech stuff.

Probably tough getting many people to work for you with that kind of site after the whole Kim Dotcom thing.

They could easily find people I think, a lot of people have volunteered. It’s a problem with who they can trust to do the work. I mean Demonoid is was a superpower in the piracy business.

Kim Dotcom I find very fascinating. He is eccentric, rich, over-the-top; but at the same time he’s very well spoken and handles the situation pretty well. He is a good follow if you’re on twitter.

I only torrent TVs. Custom app that checks TPB and EZTV for a text file of shows, downloads torrent to PC folder, launches uTorrent and then downloads for me when I get home.

I don’t really download many CDs anymore. If I do, I use USENET or just Dibblr them.

Dibblr loses out on quality due to the upload restrictions of YouTube…No?

Well, whats next?

Any invites to another site?

I’d like an invite to What.CD

Youtube max audio bitrate is 192 and Dibblr outputs that version. Works fine for most people. Never got the obsession with FLAC files. Unless I am playing my music over top of the line sound stages, I have not had a problem with 192kbps MP3s ever.

I usually get FLACs then convert to 320 CBR. That way you are getting files from the source and converting them to whatever you want. 192 is good, I’d say 160 would be the lowest I’d go. 128 and below is for dialup folks. Also, downloading straight LAME mp3 files runs the risk of people upconverting and such. I’m no audiophile, mainly because I don’t have the $$$ to spend on reference monitors or a killer system, but if I can get music at better quality I will.

I would love to do a study on if the human ear can detect the difference between bitrates. Obviously 64 and 192k there is a different but I really would like to see where the top is.

Sooo…invites?

I only use it for DVDfab … they had a new hacked update about once a week … mostly on a Wednesday once movies came out Tuesday that could not be ripped … so if anyone has a invite for a place that has DVDfab hit me up <3
