Couldn’t stomach the yellow any more. Still have 1 side and the foundation left, but here’s the pics. G/f did most of the painting, she worked on it probably 5hrs a day, I put in 2 after I got home from work. Probably a total of 45 hrs so far to paint the garage and 3 sides of the house. Siding, trim, windows and gutters all got painted.
First problem: Ridiculous weed growth on the side of the garage.
Solution: 4hrs of cutting and removing
Before
After, yes I know the roof needs to be cleaned, next spring project.
Also note: Awning deleted as well as the new front light.
The front door and foundation are going to be the dark gutter color. The front steps are going to be removed and a wooden stair set will replace it.
Next spring, cleaned and stained w/ Sikkens. Bathroom is getting gutted in 2 weeks so that’s taking up most of this years budget. I’m also updating the kitchen, plumbing and hot water tank while the bathroom gets done so the bank account will be needing some recovery time. Plans next spring are the fence, landscaping and shutters.
Because it’s going to be sold and it’s really not worth me fixing it. Plus I’m going to put a flower bed in front of that section of garage, so it shoooould cover it. We’ll see.
Finally the Yellow Banana…turned into the old Browned banana lol, Looks Great!!! That house has come a long way…Now i have to put my house on the market and move out of buffalo…which is never goona happen. lol
All of the paint was Benjamin Moore. The gutters I used Aura, its self priming and covered in 1 coat, just powerwash em clean first. Same with the house and trim.
