I had a similar injury to that interestingly enough on my left hand in 11th grade.
It was football time in gym and some kid through a wobbly ass pass at lighting speed which bent my left pinky one way and then the kid who was covering me hit the finger the other way and it got all f’ed up.
The main middle joint was up (pinky pointed almost straight up when I layed my hand on a desk) and then the next one near the finger nail pointed to the left. I also got a hairline fracture on the tip of the finger.
