I have a writeup that was emailed to me that walks you through carbon fiber basics and overlays. How can I post them up on here for everyone?

Ctrl + C then Ctrl + P :gotme: if its a email should work if not i think you can load a pdf file to like photobucket and then make a link…if not photobucket someone should know how to upload a pdf and link it
email it to me, i will turn it into a pdf and host it
Interested in this. Someone get it up.
I can host it too, email it to me if you want:
rodandpiston @ gmail.com (remove spaces)
i remember this from UBRF … good tutorial
That’s pretty neat.
i was actually just looking to learn how to do some stuff like this. thanks for hosting viper.
jametowndistributors.com has some good vids on their site too.
Get pre-preg. Less mess and don’t have to deal with not getting the right epoxy mix ratio. Also laying ply in different directions will give you optimum strength. (ie…45,0,45). Depending on application.
where would you get cf like they use in the pdf files?
EDIT: ebay has a ton of different kinds. but what would you look for when buying some carbon fiber?
What is this/that?
^ Carbon Fiber sheet that has been “Pre-pregnated” with epoxy resin. During the forming process, it requires heat to be activated.
More expensive then dry fiber(no bonding agent), but it eliminates the risk of air bubbles and excess epoxy. Particularly good if you don’t have a vacuum bagging system.
overlays are a huge pita.
i dont know why anyone would do tubing in 2 pieces when you can just buy aero sleeves.
