DIY: My weekend bathroom makeover

I like it! Ya I can see how it can be taken as sarcasm. Honestly Im surprised that half of my posts make any sense. Usually I post after a long ass work day that was preceded by an even longer flight.

Total thread bump here. I forgot to update what i did for the cabinets over the washer/dryer. Also, my new tenants chose to put a curtain up to hide them, that’s not my doing.

I wanted cabinets over the washer/dryer, but i didn’t want to bend over the washer and dryer to reach them, so i welded up some brackets to space them off the wall and make the cabinets more accessable. It literally took me about 15 minutes to fabricate the brackets and about 30mins to paint them with oil-based white enamel.

I bought a set of kitchen cabinets from IKEA that were designed to be have a microwave sit in the space underneath. I thought the extended shelf was perfect to use when folding laundry.

Here they are finished.

fyi: the available space to the left of the washer dryer was used for a large hamper that was used to seperate the clothes and fit perfect. Otherwise i would have centered everything.

Very cool…

Not sure if you care or not since you don’t live their anymore, but if you ever decided to replace the the frame with wood studs, you can order a skin the color of the cabinet and brad nail it to the wood frame/cabinet. But you might not even be able to see it, obv you can if you’re standing next to it lol.

Just a thought.

Missed the fireplace before, that came out awesome!
