Second floor of my house, had a bedroom, with another 15 x 15 bedroom attached to it. From day one it didn’t make a lot of sense to me, and I decided to make it into a master bathroom this weekend. LOL
Here’s what I started with…
Then it was time for the demo. I did the entire upstairs, but the far end of the house is what will be bathroom
Next I had to put the floor in. The existing floor was only 5-1/2" joists, so I sistered new ones along, plus I had to make them level because they were actually sloped in a manned that would be uphill for the plumbing that had to be run through the floor.
Next thing was an interior wall. because it’s a cape, and all the walls that aren’t sloped have doors or windows in them, I had to make a wall that was at least 6-1/2" tall so I could put a vanity and mirror over it, and actually see myself in it.
Next some greenboard.
Then I lost my camera or whatever for a bit. So here it is all done.LOL
I don’t know if I like the sprayed in insulation, from seeing your work it looks sound proof and warm, but maintenance would be a mother fucker, especially running wire or water damage repairs. But it looks nice foo shoo now.
