You dont need an inspection to register a car for the first time. Why not cancel the current registration, and then the next day register it again (get new plates, etc). I think they will just give you a new 10-day…

The only reason I thought of it is that Honda actually specifies driving a car on a lift when doing their 3-part transmission drain/refill… I did it with my old CRV…
I got a letter from dmv stating i need to have it inspected and then bring in the paperwork to re register it…
Im gonna give them a call today and see what they suggest
