It will turn into a state citation if you dont pay it within 90 days, which will make it $90 +. And if you dont respond to the state citation, your license will be suspended and a bench warrant will be issued for you.
One of my good friends from Pitt got a rude awakening early one morning back in the day in Oakland. They never locked their door so the Sheriff went right up to his room and arrested him due to tickets lol.

I got a parking ticket at CCAC in my girlfriends car when i was picking her up. ( was parked in the 5 min parking, but facing the wrong way lol ) he wrote it and put it on the windsheild as I was sitting in the car. I got out and handed it back to him and said I didnt need it lol. after the old man started yelling I just took the ticket. once she got in the car I stopped and put the ticket on the security guys truck, honked and drove off. 
its been like a year and a half and nothing has happened. but thats security, not pittsburgh pd
