Only defensive when people try to push their ideals on others, and more importantly, feel their opinion is the “right” one. So there. Im with Phil and Jesse, and Gran Massa is the only one with a level head
and you are alsoentitled to your own opinion, level headed? ehhhhhhh i wouldn’t go that far
The way I see it if you want to drive something big and bad on gas youre the one filling it up all the time so why the fuck would it matter to me if youre driving something that gets 3 mpg? Im not paying for your gas.
If you can afford to fill it go for it- Im not going to say you should drive a 3 cylinder Metro to save a butterfly or something gay like that.
One of my cars gets 30+ mpg and the other gets half that. Yeah it sucks filling them up but fuck it I want to drive those cars and shouldnt have some dirty hippie telling me that Im a bad person because of what I drive.
Fuck the haters.
+1 if ya want to shell out ungodly amounts for gas, then good for you, if ya don’t want to shell out all your money on gas then good for you to. none of it matters
Well, after all this, can I at least add I would NOT have bought the H2 if gas prices were over $3 at the time… I’m okay to about $5, then i get mad. In all reality, if I could get anywhere near value, I’d move it for a Cheyenne.
porsche cayenne, an suv I’d definitly rock the shit out of.
same here,
but you remember when they started coming out alot of people where talkin trash that Porsche couldnt make a good suv, just sport cars etc… now alot of people who said that before are saying the opposite today
LOL, my ballpark trade-in offer (from Porsche dealer) for a 50k mile Hummer with EVERY option + was …lol…18k. Sign of the times. Truck was…a redicilously stupid 65+k new 2 years ago. Glad i stole it when I got it 6 months ago… but daymmmn.
ya cuz they know right now… no one is tryin to buy a hummer like they are a 30+ mpg vehicle
65k to 18k, that REALLY sucks
i feel ya jay, honda offered me 11k for my fully loaded gmc canyon with 8,000 miles on it, stickered 26k
I’ll give ya 12k… ;D
17k and its yours
Do we need big tits and perfect asses? No. But we all know that we like them so why beat ourselves up? You want to drive a truck or big vehicle, do it. Whatever makes you happy.
Think of it as the mortgage crisis for cars, people don’t think towards the future. The gas prices started to rise a few years ago and they got to about 2.50 a gallon which was unheard of for the time. SUV Prices plummeted and every body was like wow I can afford one now, and at 2.50 a gallon I can afford that as long as it doesn’t go up too much more. Then comes today where gas is approaching 4.30 a gallon and that is like the rising interest rates. The buyers knew it could happen but just got caught up in getting a great deal on a 40K dollar vehicle. I mean hell dealerships now are almost doing Buy One Get One sales on trucks lol. I really don’t blame them if they new gas prices could rise and they cant afford it now. Unless however it is a work truck and they need the gas guzzler.
To each their own. Who cares what someone drives. The biggest problem are the manufacturers. All this time has gone by and most vehicles out there are no more efficient than cars from the 90s. Yet, they keep making them bigger and faster.
Now, if you want to debate about which owners are the biggest assholes on the road-that’s a different story.
Now see, I knew there were real men here.
the problem with that analogy, like any other, is that it’s faulty.
you can compare trucks and suvs to perfect tits and asses, I could compare them to t&a that are about 5 sizes too big.
it’s this machismo attitude some of the big vehicle owners show that gets people irritated more than anything.
I suppose the REAL real men should be driving cxt international?
The problem is some people are socialist to the core, and don’t recognize it.
VERY FEW people buy a big vehicle to be “macho”. The problem with your analogy is that it begs the question if the same applys in reverse… with small vehicles and lack of machoism. I think neither is true for the most part… though I have never seen a rainbow sticker on a F250 and I do on Hondas often.
cmon guys, keep it civil…
I will say this. I can agree with each side, because who am I to tell anyone else that what they are doing is wrong. It’s ultimately the car manufacturers greediness that prevents these same gas guzzling vehicles from having hybrid and eco friendly counterparts. (think of the new Escalade hybrid…)
Jammer runs a business out of his H2, its his perogative. I think the main objective is to point out when joe blow decides that he needs to step up from his ford ranger to the f450 because of a fucking Toby Keith music video, and because the f450 is more manly, then we have failed to realize the issues at hand
I fucking hate that ford commercial, “are you ready to run with the big dogs” :stfu :angry2
