1st gen neons are better to mod than the second gen including the srt4. they are lighter, parts are cheaper…
so unless your just goin for looks
lol I have to agree with dawn though. Neons ARE pieces of shit. But, they still have some decent potential. If you are just looking for a car without thinking the word “modifying” then yeah, they are total garbage.
I would like an ACR though and autocross the poop out of it.
when i first got my truck, i had no idea how to launch it right, so on a launch i would jsut spin my tires, my exhaust was pinched, all if my plug wires and plugs were bad, my air filter looked like …well, we dont need to go there, and overall my truck was running like shit cuz the guy i bought it from hadnt run it in a year…so since i got a new Flowmaster exhaust, K&N filter, MSD wires, cap and rotor, and Bosh tripple platinum plugs and a new fuel filter as well as a throttle body spacer and some injector cleaner thtough it (cuz the guy i bought it from never put sta-bil in it), it was running a lot better…i also learned how to launch the thing from a dig so i ddint get as much tire spin…so basically my truck was in pretty rough shape when i got it and when i raced the guy the first time (as in it would start chugging once u hit like 60)…so if anyone knows him, tell him id like to run him again in the spring, just for fun

actually do the research…neons were built in mexico and in the us…the us plant they came from IS the same place DSM’s come from…due to the fact that chrysler and mitsu were basicallly partners…hence why the non turbo dsm;s come with the 420a/d4re…actually im pretty sure chrysler owns mitsu now
Neons are made in Belvidere Illinois. DSMs are made in Bloomington, Illinois. DCX also sold it’s last share in Mits even tho they still share some platforms.
