Dodge Viper ACR.... THE RING

ZAP!

You just don’t get it do you? O-K, I’ll underline the words & type slowly for you. I didnt say it! I was stating what was printed in C&D so you are telling C&D that they are wrong. NOT ME. Maybe you should check with DMV on bumper laws. Then maybe you’ll understand C&D’s statement. I’m sure you know a lot about the Viper but that doesnt make you an expert on motor vehicle law. Thats like saying I am a pro golfer just because I own a golf course. ( I am pretty good though, LOL ) Which we do by the way, I’ve helped run the family business for over 26 years, so I know a little about how to treat people…Customers or not.

Ha Ha

oh marcus isn’t that bad. Still a douchebag… but I approve of marcus

Again, I think it is you that dont get it. I dont care who actually said it- you regurgitated it. I told you to think about what you are saying, and pull your head out of their ass [DONT BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ] because they are obviously incorrect. Motor vehicle laws in this case make it PLAIN AS FRIGGEN DAY which side of this argument was in the wrong. If it wasnt legal- they couldnt produce it in that form now could they???

You are a bigger idiot than even I thought. Did you even know WHAT the hardcore package was before you opened your mouth? STFU and go figure it out before you open your mouth again.

-Lemans: No street Interior
-SWC: If you call that a street/full interior, you have another thing coming.

Back to my obvious point, regardless of small exceptions that cross over, can you REALLY call the Viper interior a “race car” interior in any form? FUCK NO. It is a street car interior with a couple items deleted at best. Sorry. Wow… the radio is optional. Uh, big deal?

Some of you act like this thing is the Comp Coupe or something with nothing but a dash and driver seat.

If you dont consider an 18% reduction in rotating mass, 60lbs of unsprung weight reduced, plus an additional 90lbs of weight reduction, with the addition of real downforce and DOT-R tires a large performance increase you have no business being in the automotive industry.

Period.

And I’m missing where the SWC Caddy doesnt have a full interior, it has door panels, a center console and a full dash. Is it just the pretty cage that scares you off?

I fail to see how someone’s job title as an engineer has anything to do with this discussion at all.

Clearly, both teams put in the driver that they felt most confident in behind the wheel. To hint otherwise only shows that you are a flaming moron.

To insinuate that the lead development engineer in a "super"car development effort doesn’t have enough seat time and familiarity with the vehicle to pull out some of the best times possible is sheer stupidity.

And if you want to argue about a measly 40lb difference in equipment, then why not dig up the drivers weights, how about the fuel tank level, temperature, wind speed, etc.

God you bench racing faggots are morons… on both sides of the argument.

Just like something is only worth what someone will pay for it, a car is only as fast as the times it puts down. Stop what-ifing, you only looking like a school girl.

Quoted for the first time I have ever read a post by Walter that actually had a typo in it.

lol i love how if anybody else at all would have posted this thread MPD wouldn’t care…but since it was his nemesis Final GTS…he has to be all up in here displaying hate everywhere…

keep up the good work, mike.

MPD would not be able to have his sig if he was not a full participant in these types of threads.

Ohhhhhhhhh the fights!

Holy hell a car debate on NYSpeed. :jawdrop:

Complete with thought, insight, and hate. I like it.

So how many ACR Vipers is dodge making? What’s the price tag?

A design engineer does not equal a professional driver, no matter how much you try to spin it.

To insinuate that the lead development engineer in a "super"car development effort doesn’t have enough seat time and familiarity with the vehicle to pull out some of the best times possible is sheer stupidity.

again, it was just a design engineer, not the lead, and again, and engineer on an open track does not equal a professional driver on a closed track.

YOU… ARE… A… MORON.

You have ZERO evidence that supports your OPINION that the guy couldn’t drive. Quite frankly, the two videos show the ZR1 driver to have turned in a better lap without looking at the times in terms of proper lines, smoothness, etc

Go… pound… sand.

Slow enough for you?

:fail:

remember your opinion is not fact

:roll2:

if you could understand that, this may be an interesting thread… you however can’t. :tantrum:

Some notes on the ZR1 video from the guys at Bridge To Gantry who pretty much do nothing but lap the ring alllllll dayyyyy long.

I hate that whole ‘holding the wheel whereever it lands’ thing. Quarter to three or die!

He almost HAS to hold the wheel like my grandad, as the rack is soooo long.

That is bastard fast! 171mph into SX?

Tidier driving could yield more than a few seconds… no speed into Wipperman and just floating through the centre of the track all the way from Eschbach to Eiskurve with no apexes. As for Schwalbenschwanz… ouch.

Because he turns in early at two of the key corners and is forced to feather the throttle until he’s almost exited (Hocheichen and Bergwerk) he loses lots of time on the following flat-out sections (QH-FP-SX and Kesselchen run, respectively).
