now this is a viper I would drive
Fuck yeah
Definitely the Old one. It is a “Drivers” car. No traction control, no stability control, lightweight and amazing handling. Not to mention designed by an F1 racing team and inspired/drive setup based off Ayrton Senna.
I talk about an NSX, you guys mention a BRZ because I talk about that car being great… I own an S2000. What would make you think I care for a car that has lots of power and can go straight? I love a car with handling/reliability/excitement all around.
Strange comparison but funny he ends with wanting an NSX
The only people who get hot and bothered over 20 year old Honda “sports cars”, are ones driving 10 year old Honda “sports cars”.
Last month Chrysler announced it was chopping a solid $15k off the price of a new Viper, dropping the MSRP of a base model to under $85k, the Viper TA to just over $100k and the top-of-the-line GTS to under $108k. The result has been more than a doubling in sales: According to Yahoo! Autos, Dodge sold 108 Vipers last month, which emerged as the best results the model has racked up in its current iteration. This compared to only 38 units sold in August, 48 in July and 36 in June – or, for year-to-year comparison, just 45 units in September 2013.
I wonder how many $85k Zo6’s Chevy will sell a month
What is projected? There seem to be a lot of people waiting for them. Im guessing 8-10k first year sales! Gonna be siqqqqqqqqqqqq qqq q qqq qqqqq
I wonder how many 6 figure Z06s sell until demand drops.
9 years 05 was last nsx

Looks like Dodge lowered the price $15k on the viper.
Shitty day for this dealer as it will need to reflect the price as well in order to sell a used one/210 miles
Maybe your time to pick up one seeing as they should be cheaper now and in the range one is willing to pay.
Looks like the price cut worked. Look how many sold last month:
Better move them before the Z06 comes out, lol. Also look how few are sold in Canada.
My friend has a new Z06 fully loaded on order and is supposed to pick it up from Bowling Greens November 1st… they better hurry.
Biggest month ever…?
That was yesterday’s news in this thread.
The days supply for how many are on the ground vs number sold in a month is painful.
Edit: Today’s news about Viper; they killed the race car program. I guess they won on Sunday and nothing happened on Monday.
cancelled Sunday, won on Monday
Meh the writing was on the wall when they backed out of Lemans. They had a favorable BOP in the US, won the championship and then packed it in two days later. Dodge = crap
Dodge Viper sales up 184 percent after $15K price cut
It has already been posted twice. They sold 70 additional cars in one month. My guess is they pulled a bunch of sales forward and won’t maintain the 1,300 unit a year pace for the next twelve months.
I had a good laugh at the one sitting in front of a dealer in Watkins Glen with a $108,989 on the windshield.
Anyone talk to the Mercedes dealer to see if the price has changed on that one?
I missed the article about over a 50% sales drop YoY for the viper. 108 for the headlines after the price cut and 49 a year later.
Based on the Chrysler union contract it looks like the Viper might not live on past 2017.
