Thats a great thing your family does, can you ask them why they have the “must have a fence rule”? I never understood that one at all, to me it just reinforces the idea that dogs dont have to be taken on walks. People that have fenced in yards should have to prove that they are willing to exercise and socialize a dog poperly rather than turning away potential new dog owners without fenced in yards with that rule.
