I was going to recommend a staffy bull, bully breeds are incredible with children.
I’d say golden retriever . Had them since I was born ! . Not once have I ever considered on getting a different dog.
Doberman Pinscher. I had one growing up and it was the most loyal and loving dog EVER, and even saved my ass a few times. I honestly (personally) wouldn’t even consider another breed to own and as soon as my little girl is old enough I will own another one. My parents have a 2 year old one now that is just a perfect dog. They are prone to stomach twist which killed my first dog, this can be taken care of at an early age if/when the puppy is spayed or neutered.
I have nothing bad to say about the breed either. 5 years ago my girlfriend at the time and I each came home with one. Needless to say my mother absolutely fell in love with the dog and my dog soon became my mothers dog. To this day we haven’t had a single instance of doubt that she is aggressive and she is GREAT with kids.
However, insurance companies don’t see it that way and in most cases will raise your insurance or in some cases, drop you. This is why I haven’t suggested a pitbull.
just tell em its a staff terrior
I agree with everything here. I wouldn’t mind a pit bull but there would always be something in the back of my mind about them and if they did anything to my lil girl I could never live with myself, but that could happen with ANY breed.
My friend volunteers at “Out of the pits” rescue and the people there are super nice and have some beautiful dogs for adoption.
Golden Retrievers are good dogs. My grandparents had one, it was a fat fuck retard… But great with kids. They trained him as a therapy dog, brought him to local hospitals to see the kids and old folks who were usually terminal.
I’d say get a Mastiff. My father has two of them, they’re so chill with family and one hell of a guard dog on top of that. I sure as hell wouldn’t fuck with them, the male is 200 lbs and has a head the size of a small child.
Oh man… I didn’t know your dog died. Sorry to hear, she was such a nice dog.
Thanks man. It happened out of no where and was a shock, My parents took it REALLY hard.
I think most insurance companies have figured that one out.
I’m training my dog to be a therapy dog as well. My girlfriends grand parents are in an assisted living nursing facility and they always love seeing him. We try to get over there as often as we can with him and interact him with the people there. As high energy as weimaraner’s are, he does really well around other people and kids.
title was driving me insane.
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Association took in a stray pure bred weimaraner puppy a few days ago. I went today with my girlfriend to adopt it and someone was walking out with him. I was glad he was atleast going to what seemed to be a very good and loving home.
Thanks. I finally clicked on it because I noticed it was fixed.
Holy shit, Mofos over here too.
