i have an 89 240 and when i start it up in the morning it has a bit of trouble gettin goin and when it does get goin it wants to die out but it goes down to like 300 rpm but recovers and then after that it runs fine but then in the engine i hear this little bit of a screeching sound comin from maybe the back cylinder im not sure maybe somewhere else but after it get nice and hot it goes away for the most part. im thinkin maybe a rod bearing its not getting enough oil or drive belt is loose upon startup or i dunno. anyone might know whats goin on?
have the same problym, try ajusting your timeing… if that dosent work hit somthing…? lol
