Drag times?

Im just curious to see what ppl have run.
i went for the first time ever and pulled a 13.39@105, witha 2.01 60 foot.
thats with no burnout, and 25psi in the tires, on 11psi of boost.
almost immediatly after that a volvo blew up and coated the track in tranny oil, everyones times slipped after that.

1st run
13.39@105 2.01 60

2nd run
14.55@77 2.27 60 (mad wheel spin every where, freaked out and took it easy, damn volvos)

3rd run
13.88@104 2.20 60

4th run
13.89@104 2.14 60

5th run
14.02@103 (bogged the launch really badly)

5th run
13.88@105 2.23 60

6th run
13.84@104 2.17 60

1st time ever going to a drag race event.

I was running a very conservative tune on 6psi.

Dyno’d in at ~240whp.

1st Run:
14.526 @ 104.58 w/ 2.705 60’

2nd Run:
13.847 @ 105.88 w/ 2.417 60’

3rd Run:
13.596 @ 106.6 w/ 2.260 60’

4th Run: (Final)
13.306 @ 107.58 w/ 2.141 60’

^^^ Smoked a 2005 Dodge SRT10 Pickup

First time racing at the track, 9 psi of boost

16.2 @ 63 MPH 8)
13.7 @ 102 MPH
14.0 @ 100 MPH
13.8 @ 101 MPH

Did a few runs yesterday for the first time. SOHC Ka-t on 5.5psi tires @ 20-25psi

14.907@93.58mph-60ft 2.163
14.874@93.43mph-60ft 2.081
14.695@95.29mph-60ft 2.225
14.650@94.53mph-60ft 2.124
my best run but i stopped after this 14.647@86.82mph-60ft 2.075, I blew off a silicon coupler right before the end of the QM, scared the bajesus out of me. One thing I need to work on is my R/T.

P.S. These runs were done on stock injectors and a 10:1 fmu, no tuning done  , going back afetr the 460’s go in with a good tune, numbers should go down

why - were you racing someone?

no, but I am a dog @ the lights and could use some work.

Doesn’t matter dude – work on your 60ft time if anything.

14.6 on stock injectors and a SOHC is pretty good actually,

i’d love to go to the track before winter, gotta get a decent pair of tires in the rear first though.

What would a good 60ft time be? Some of my numbers are better than the guys running in the 13’s

With slicks or drag radials and a 7k dump there are many guys pulling 1.7-1.9’s

Those in the 13s, more info?

  • Gutted (spare, seats, etc. removed?)
  • RPM launch (dumped or feathered)
  • Shift points?
  • Track temperature?

I know it’s asking too much but just curious :dunno:

7k?
holy shit
i was dumping at 3500 and spinning right through first

my best 60 was 2.01 from 3k with out heating the tires up

the to dsms i was with, one with 357hp and one with 402hp with stutter boxes set at 7200 on good sticky street tires were only pulling 1.9s

i dont know what the track temp was
and i was shifting around 68-6900

car wasnt touched for weight
absloutly everything was there
im to lazy to gut it for a tenth

Good stuff guys - those are very decent numbers. Now is the best time to hit the strip since ambient temps dip way down (esp at night).

And yeah, the timer doesn’t start till your wheels pass the timing beam a.k.a. R/T does not affect your individual 1/4 run. R/T + E/T is used in competitive heads up racing, not test n tune.

And yeah, as Happy already mentioned - low 60ft times are key.

Almost full weight, 2860 with me in it, minus spare and jack.
Mmmm 2500 ish?? Dumping clutch.
Over revving like crazy, I still think I drive a honda.
Late July, at night. Not hot, not cool.

Was on some 195s, was still getting a good 60 foot, but lots of spin into second.

  • Track Weight was 2900lbs with me in it
  • 3500 2step with Ignition Retard 6psi
  • 7000rpm shift points
  • Late July, at night. Not hot, not cool.

You forgot Tire’s G.

  • 235/45R17 Mismatched Street Tires Frying 1st, Spinning most of 2nd.

Best 60’ was a 2.1

These cars should be seeing with a nice tire 1.8’s

obviously my car is super slow, but i used my friends civic and ran

13.7@ 108

true
i was on the 225 50 16 falken beta fk451s that i pretty much killed in niagara. they were cooked and not sticky at all, spinning righ tthrough 1 and 2
i have vids if someone can host them for me.
