DragnDoor's 1998 Ranger

bump for updates?

starting from the back and working forward. got the compressors, tank and back valves ran for temping mounting brackets, got all the bed mounts made with fender brackets, ran mounts for shocks from the notch to lower link bars, starting on the fuel cell cage, built a one off license plate box and mounted that on the back of the bed offset on the rear window, now on to finishing all mock up on the cab and interior. Also put the front end back on to see how grill and headlights line up and they all look good on the new radiator core support i burned in a while back. I will take some photos and upload them later this week.

saw it in person and words were lost…this thing is so nutty

Yeah sofar everyone that sees it is like that was a truck! lol The roof height laid out is only 2 inches taller than a C6 Vette!

In for 2 inch chop :lol

thing is definitely naughty in person!

If we can figure out how to reuse the stock windshield and back glas we could.

No windows needed just a pair of old school pilots goggles,… problem solved now do it

PMyo

This

-1 for chop. sometimes things chopped look TERRIBLE.

no cutting!!! i sat in it tonight…i couldnt see out the windows in the garage,i felt like i was in heaven

Came home to christmas in my driveway as summit racing deliver me some wheels, fuel cell, fuel and brake lines, along with a whole mess of fittings and some other goodies. Time to get this project going again

thank god, good to hear. cant wait to see more updates :thumbup

OMG!

were in need of more pictures NOW!

Idk how much Id trust the plastic saw horses to hold that up… All fiberglass or metal?
In for more pics too…

Those horses are cheezy but they held it for 4 months while I stored it. the bed even as a whole is only around 200lbs or so. We cut out the entire floor and most of the inside of it, its basically fenders and a tailgate skin now.

All metal, back tailgate skin is 12ga sheet, tailight fillers are 16ga and everything else is steel from the start. :thumbup

saw this bumped was expecting pics, opened the thread and got blue balls.:banghead

the only pictures I may have for you look like a month ago, except in paint. I am starting to strip the hole thing back down to the frame to undercoat it and paint all the suspension parts. Other than that just doning some wiring and starting to clean everything up.
