Well most of you know. I like challanging projects that most wouldn’t do. So heres another one a have recently started.
This consists of 2 trucks into one. I plan to build a monster S10 truck with solid axles and a V8 350 in it. The easiest way I thought of doing this was to put the S10 body on to a full size truck chassis with a 350 already in it. So I went out and bought a cheap 88’ Blazer, junked the rotting body, and began to hack away at my daily driven S10.
Started out with a 94’ S10 4x4 with 3" lift, 00’ ZR2 front end, and a recently swapped 62k 4.3L
No pics of the Blazer, but after me and Frank pulled the body and scrapped it. I had my plateform. The blazer ran and drove before being stripped.
I had some time one day, so I pulled everything off the s10 body.
Swapped out the cab (s10 frame)
Put the cab onto the K5 frame. I still have to make mounts and center the cab.
I currently have massive amounts of clearance just with 235’s on there (thats my size 11 in there). I plan to run 33x12.5-15’s for the time being.
The tires stick out about 5" right now. The cab still has to go to the right about another 3", which makes these 235’s stick out almost 8" pass the fenders!!! I plan on fixing this by picking up a set of 6" bulge Prerunner fenders in the near future.

make body mounts
3" body lift
box in rear of frame
wiring (swap in k5 harness)
fit a bed on it (k5 frames about 3’ shorter)
brake/ fuel lines
a set of 38’s
So far everythings been straight forward. The only problem I can see having, is setting the body forward enough on the frame and still having firewall to engine clearance. May have to get my BFH out for this one.
I got the front 33’s mounted up and centered the body. Going to plug the harness in today, make body mounts, radiator fitment, and mount the rear tires. Looks like I will need a short bed or to cut the long bed down if I dont find one quick enough.
cut the long bed down,it doesnt need to look pretty as frank would say that u guys will roll it the first time out(i wanna be there when this happens),u already have it so use it!
