Driver Leaves Scene, Passenger dead in weeds

It could be possible that after the accident the driver sustained a serious head injury, which can really mess with you. Its possible he didnt even know he had a passenger, or what had happened or anything for that matter. Just playing devils advocate because if thats not the case ue deserves to be lit on fire and thrown into a liquid manure silo.
