i have a 90 eclipse gsx, last night i was driving home on transit cruisin at about 55 in fifth so i was around 2500 rpms, when i stepped on the clutch all of the way and didn’t do anything else my rpms would just drop all the way to nothing, so my car stalled while i was coasting. i kept on doing it and it only happened twice. most of the time it didn’t stall just those 2 times. i turned off my amp which is only at about 500 rms watts and was on low, and it hasn’t done anything since. this is the first time it has ever happened. any help would be appreciated.
was electrical dimming? any smoke coming out of the exhaust? ant strange noises? were you still able to boost after?
well the reason i noticed that is stalled was because all of my interior lights dimmed after it stalled out, is that normal??? my music and exhaust are to loud to really hear anything but yes i can still boost.
maybe?

they would always dim after it stalls. the difference if 14volts when running versus 12 when not running.
so what do u think it can be then usually when im rolling i it will stop and idle around 1100 rpms, but it just dropped straigt down with no hesitation
check yiour alternator i know its the simplist solution but something similar hapend to me it could have a few bad brushes
ok next time i have time i will stop at auto zone, i hope its not that because i just replaced it in spring
answer the rest of my questions
well it was at 12 so i didn’t notice any smoke, couldn’t hear any noises but my car is to loud, yes my car boosted after and it runs completely fine, it was just the car stalling twice out of no where

sure it was a quarter tank? the level might be off
well right now it is at a quarter, it should be fine because i keep some track of it with my trip meter and when i fill it
does you BOV vent to atmosphere or recirc? if it doesnt recirculate it may have open when stepping on the clutch and let air out causing it to stall.
Emery
no i have it recirculated, i have disconnected it before and the car only stalls when i would boost hard when it was atmospheric, i was just cruising so there wasn’t much boost
check your IAC. my car used to do this, but it rarely stalled completely.
how would i check that? is it on vfaq.com?
