This is why i would work there
• Theater room with 10 foot DLP screen. Full kitchen, fully stocked with all the free drinks and snacks you can eat.
I just assumed they had given up on that game. They started it about 3 console generations ago, and about 18 generations of PC’s ago. Hopefully they’ve been updating the code to take advantage of new technology or you’re going to need dos mode to play it when it finally gets released.
Duke Nukem is Dead. R.I.P.
duke nukem was the jam
:word: fuck i would love to have another duke nukem in today’s technology omg!
this game is so hyped up its going to blow … fucking 9 years in the making and still hiring people for the shit
We all waited 10 for SC, i think the same slogan goes for both, “Hell, Its about time”
iuts not 9 years in the making. do some research, the entire project was SCRAPED AND STOPPED, years ago, it was revived 2 years ago. completely new game engine and story and everything. anyone who was waiting for it knows it was stopped, so the current dnf is a redo, it doesnt have much hype, people got tired of hyping. its back to ‘whatever, ill prolly play it when it comes out maybe’
“it’s time to kick ass and chew bubble gum… and im all outta gum”
i loved duke3d… cant wait for a new one
That 3d engine looks reallllly out dated. Half Life Source seems like it will blow it away.
On a side note, im really waiting for the Unreal engine 3 and the CryEngine 2

I wasn’t aware of any screenshots being out in the new engine yet besides the one in the job posting about the size of two stamps.
Dude, those screenshots are from a loooooong time ago.
The studio behind the entire duke nukem franchise has shut down.
Which means DUKE NUKEM FOREVER. which before this…has had the longest development cycle…EVER will probably be no more.
3D Realms, independent developer of the Duke Nukem action franchise, is closing its doors and its employees being let go, according to multiple industry sources.
News of the closure was first reported by Shacknews, with Gamasutra obtaining separate confirmation. Sources told Gamasutra the studio will be fully shut down by the end of the week.
Formed over twenty years ago as Apogee Software and located in Garland, Texas, 3D Realms was privately owned and run by Scott Miller and George Broussard. It served as developer of the three main Duke Nukem games and as publisher of many more.
For more than a decade, 3D Realms has notoriously been working on various iterations of Duke Nukem Forever, its sequel to the classic FPS Duke Nukem 3D. Forever was announced in 1997, and saw repeated delays.
In the last few years, news about the game began to emerge more frequently, and small screenshots and development tidbits were occasionally released.
Recently, 3D Realms also produced the two Max Payne games by Remedy Entertainment, published Human Head Studios’ Prey, and brought Duke Nukem 3D to Xbox Live Arcade.
Looks like they’re all out of gum.
Then its time to kick ass?
Again, WB!!
oh, and I’m pretty sure SC2 has got them beat, due to blizzard being a much larger company and STILL taking a decade
Yeah but we all knew SC2 would come because there was a HUGE steady influx of cash first from Diablo 2, then WoW.
Plus theyre planning a trilogy for SC2.
Also DNF was in production for like 12 years…which is like…WAYYY to long.
I was looking so forward to it though I always liked it better than doom
Meh, we will have D3 and SC2 and I already have TF2 so I can’t complain. Lots of good games coming out
