My girlfriend and I had a good time watching the event. We drove down in our Smart car. Might be back down to watch again next time. :slight_smile:

I’d love to take the Smart out. I liked the relaxed atmosphere today. I’ve been to only a couple before and it was nice to just be able to sit amongst everyone else even if I was just watching.

You had the champagne 240sx with the Advan Oni’s? I didn’t think to introduce myself. May be out next Sunday with a few friends to watch and possibly take part.

Yep, the champagne 240sx with the Advan’s Oni’s is mine :slight_smile: You should definitely introduce yourself next time as I was pretty much running around all day. I had to take a lot of people on ride alongs, but unfortunately, I think I missed out on some people.

Highlight for me was watching Sasha put the power down in the Z while it was pouring, good practice for those washed out races eh?

Bit of a let down day for me. I thought something was wrong with the driveline in the GT-R on the way there. When I downshifted second it was making a ruckus. Varun had a pretty solid diagnosis guessing the PS pump…close dude, it was the AC clutch making all the noise.

I didn’t want to scrap the day so I removed PS belt. What a fuckin mistake, turning a 3200lb car with 275 R-comps is not easy…actually with HICAS is near impossible. In the rain it was just plain dangerous.

Anyway the GT-R lived.

Overall, I think it was a great event for me personally as I got to see how my car behaved in the rain.

Thanks for the pics Peter, I hope your brother had fun driving and he learned more about his car. How was he doing in the rain? Did you get to drive too?

Dave, thanks for coming out, maybe your car will be more ready for next time… so you and conky can battle it out. :slight_smile:

sorry for the confusion, i dont remember the last time i worked on a modded car with an AC !!! get that shit out !
atleast u know what it is, let me know if need the ac condensor, i can give u one free when i get one next.
