DYI: 3000GT Oil Pan by Final GTS

LOL, you probably remember me bitching about that moron on a daily basis. I still think the most ironic part is how he tried to rally the members against my pricing [which was fair at the time], only to crash the market, put himself out of business, and be hailed as one of the largest douchebags ever on that website after he shafted SLEWS of members in a row.

I hope that few extra bucks off was worth getting FUCKED by the guy that was going to save you the money guys! LOL

Just one more example of “its not always JUST the price”

This is why I shop at walmart.

I’m arriving late to this thread here but just wanted to add to being one of those who remembers that day as well. I don’t think I ever believed you were financing the Viper yourself through your business until I ran into you on here. Granted I didn’t really know who you were well enough in high school either.

Not trying to stir the pot here either as I’ve dealt with both Jay and Dan before and have had great positive transactions with them both.

So it isn’t necessary to have any kinda certification or training behind you to open up a repair shop? Not being a smart ass, just don’t know.

Nope. ***

I see what you did there. lol

Just saying, Dan is not a dumb kid, but lacks the social smarts sometimes to not come off like a complete pompous prick on the internet.

His “pride” that radiates from him may sort of give off the effect that even if he did fuck something up, he wouldn’t admit to it.

Its not that I dont know how, I just dont care

But you have to remember, I deal with pompous pricks on a daily basis. If I wasn’t like that my customers would not talk to me anymore, I am just one of the guys now. LOL!

Nope, nothing on the certification end, that is more for employer/employee and customer/employee relationships. You do of course need various permits/licenses/etc, but that all is entirely dependent on what type of work you plan to do, whether it be inspections, basic service, “gray area” performance work, race cars, paint and body, etc.

I like Dan, dont know him but like his style.

Holy fucking high school 9 years later, keep ballin Dan. Let the haters hate.

Eh, that’s everyone’s excuse. You never knew…

Nah… I just never submitted to apologizing for what I can do to make other people feel better about not doing the same, and that apparently rubs people the wrong way. I dont draw attention to this, but my personal bandwagon does a good job of skewing this fact.

I can say the exact same things as anybody else, and get a completely different response. I don’t think it is a coincidence that this started happening right around the same time I got the first Viper… funny how it never happened until then. Funny how it has never happened on ANY OTHER WEBSITE, with the exception of websites that contain some of the same members as HERE. There is an underlying reason that explains everything, but I leave it to others to say that… saying it myself, just proves the point to those looking for sharp items

This didn’t start when you bought your Viper… if you want to think that go right ahead, lol.

Vipers have nothing to do with this. An no one is questioning the work you’ve done since or your business.

I didn’t even know Jay back in '01 and I knew about this oil pan job. An not from Jay either - from others that saw what happened and the results.

The reason why people “hate” is because you won’t man up to a mistake. And because almost everyone here knows Jay and knows that he’s too much of a nice guy to say anything in his defense. Should he have said something when it happened? Yeah. But that’s not Jay.

And while you were sitting in your Viper at Mighty staring at people, not getting out of the car or talking to anyone, Jay was getting to know the members of this forum and meeting them in person.

Who do you think we’re going to believe? The kid who “doesn’t have time for this forum” or the kid who we’ve all met and know would give the shirt off his back to help anyone?

This conversation sums things up:

No, you’re incorrect, and obviously delusional. From a completely 3rd person point of view, (which started long ago with a positive view of you from a couple great and reputable people might I add) I saw you both in person and on the internet. In person, a soft spoken, sort of reserved in a social setting guy. On the internet, a pompous prick, which seemed to grow exponentially with your acquisition of your Viper.

I went to high school with a bunch of kids who drove really, really nice cars that didn’t have e-cocks the size of yours.

I tried defending you many a times before on these forums and what do you do? You never “submitted” as you said, never took any of the good criticism people on your side were trying to feed to you. You actually began attacking me, pretty much slapping me in the face. I continued to sit here and watched as you pretty much justified your “everyone’s hating on me” attitude merely because you owned a Viper at such a young age, completely blind to the fact that you made yourself look like you had the maturity level of a toddler. I began to wonder how such a resourceful kid could be such a fucking douchebag. I made an excuse and said “eh, well he’s young, he’ll grow out of it. All smart people see the err of their ways and eventually realize that they were dumbasses before.”

I apparently was wrong.

Whatever Dan, you keep doing what your doing. I know you will think that in no way am I right, that you aren’t that guy that I am talking about. Just remember, you’re never the best judge of yourself.
