Don't get yourself frigged over like this guy, bRyan.

:rofl

what a dolt

Wowwww that’s $250,000 worth of custom work? I’m in wrong business lol

Seems like more money than brains there because thats a fuckload of money.

He couldve bought a new Ferrari or Lamborghini instead of spending A-rab money having A-rabs work on a Nissan.

:ohnoes:wow

That looks like some cobbed up shit I would do… haha

I mean, half the shit would be almost acceptable on a random cheap roll racer project…it’s just the fact that he paid so much for that bullshit.

absolutely

Oh wow. Wasn’t the guy from FP talking shit to the guy at UR a while back too? Or was that someone different. Such a hack job on way too nice of a car. Fuck I’d be embarrassed with work like that on my $10k Mazda.

My favorite is the spray paint.

Jesussssssssssssssss

what kind of idiot puts 250k into a car that costs 100k? i realize people do this on a much smaller scale 25k into a 10k civic, but a GTR WHAT??!! those welds look like shit

I posted in that thread, that’s unacceptable. Apparently this made it to other forums. Feel bad for the OP.

?

AMS/Switzer Alpha 14 / Godzila package cars are probably $150K in mods. Talking about 1400whp or so.

GTR isn’t a cheap car to mod unfortunately.

A rab money

sure, that’s still 100k less than OP spent for a hack job

All I am saying is I am picking up on a few things, and just got to the first pics.

-Shooting for numbers with $ is never a good thing. Money doesnt = magical results. after all its a machine.

-Sputtering… isnt exactly a term a someone who knows that the hell is going on would use.

-Saw fluid on his floor and didnt even know what it was at first… sure sign you probably dont understand much about your car. Maybe throwing $$ around with blind-ish expectations.

-grinding to clear the turbo on things is something you just have to do sometimes. Unless hes cutting up a new expensive ass manifold to re work and weld thats what working with what you were given entails.

-#5 unless hes cutting the bung off the vendors work and reclocking/welding it thats not his fault.

-#9 that spacer is all of 1.5" if that, based on the head of the bolt for size reference. if the tips stuck out 5" from the bumper, its NOT becasue of that spacer, its like the above turbo manfolds… the parts they got didnt fit. they had to clear the subframe becasue it was short… without that spacer, if it fit the tips are still going to be 3.5-4" out of the bumper

  • tens of thousands to “repair” the little shit that was clearanced to make the turbo kit fit. I dont know about that based on the pics.

I agree with the little bs work… welding the fuel rails and half spray painting them. (I would have tigged them nice and powdercoated it to look oem) washers for spacers (takes an hr or so on a lathe and $20 in stock to make them look more professional), worm gear clamps on silicone is like razor blades through an emo wrist tbolts are like $2 a pop and proper. pistons in backwards, and sleeves below deck… little shit like that is not good I agree. Even I wouldnt let that shit slide and my shop is probably half the labor rate and doesnt even net what they made on that car alone. lol

HOWEVER, being on the shops and immediately understanding/assuming what the customer is like… its a good case of this isnt allways a game of “ya gotta pay to play”… this high end a car and project, the client MUST have a good understanding of what it takes to get the job done. Granted the price tag should dictate alot of the big picture, but money doesnt make magic happen. Engines blow up, coolant leaks, sometimes ya need to grind a little off something for clearance (especially when you didnt build the parts your putting on AND your mix/matching vendors). I can see both sides to the story and I am not taking one or the other. Personally, I am just learning from their experiences.

If people have that kind of money to just dump it in the USA economy, I am all for it. We need more people like that. :rofl

how the hell was he ok with handing over 250,000 without seeing the progress being made??? im assuming he never saw the car before it was “done” otherwise he wouldv’e been unhappy with the work and decided to take it someplace else…maybe not, it must be nice to have more money than brains.

I was just going to say short of the washer spacers and coolant leaks, It all looks like shit I’d do in my garage

Well, Forged Performance was a very reputable shop… or was. I don’t know what happened but that’s like fking hack job central. Maybe the build was too big for them, I don’t know. Dude lawyered up anyways.
