i picked up 30 hp with 2 turns of my adjustable fpr but didnt have any more time on the dyno. i thik u will see that thing hit the 400 mark easy just let it cool down .whats the charge for a hour of dyno time …

Unless your current tune is SHIT, you shouldn’t be picking up 50rwhp from a tune. Of course it is possible. Hell I could make my car run on 3 cylinders and have like 70 hp, and then put my plugs back on and gain 250rwhp…

There are only like 300 different things that can be tweaked to add more HP. If the engine was just built and none of these were messed with, I don’t see why he shouldn’t meet his goal.

ok, so say u do a complete tune to set a/f at 12.0 to 1. you wont make peak horsepower. as closer to 12.7 to 1 you are, thats where u make peak power.
example— a 16v vw i tuned made a respectable 253/247 at 15lbs on pump 94 w/ 12.0/11.9-1 a/f-- a saf everyday tune. Just by leaning it out, i had the car at 297/305 at the wheels.
now that aside, advance timing as far as you safely can, even w/ same a/f you baselined on, you will gain more hp.
then you got cam timing to fuck w/. tying to dial in the lap so you get most air/fuel in, w/o pushing ti out to fast. so may mean advance intake cam, retard exhaust or whatever.
even better yet, retard timing down low, this acts liek a anti-lag, all the rich gas burns in the turbo. once you hit the rpm where you start jacking timing, shit gets crazy— it is like a on/off switch.
thats just 3 ways u can gain around 25-50 hp by fucking w/ a decent tune from the start.
race gas, more boost or race gas, same boost more timing needs to be addressed too. As thats where u wil make a shit load of power. race gas keeps detonation at bay, and fuckign w/ timing or boost is where the hp comes from. i am a fan of same boost, more timing. but there is a point where you too much timing just does nothing.
what it all comes down to-- u need to tune for the conditions your driving. all out track use-- so race gas, and this car will easily push 400. conservative street tune, 400 on pump is doable, but will take more tweaks to get it there.
quit trying to hi-jack this thread with your lack of knowledge. it’s cool if you don’t know everything and all, but don’t try to explain shit to people that do it everyday when you clearly have no idea.

387 rwhp 355 ft/lbs… dropped exhaust, slightly better fan in front, retarded timing a smidge and 2 more psi. Didnt tune any a/f settings yet with the Power FC data-logit.
Now do you think 60 hp of what i put down before can be gained StealthZ?
