lol…your HC is super high, does the CAT work?, turn the fuel pressure back to stock so your running 14.7:1 AFR
Try exactly what DTS said and some “Guaranteed to pass” from Canadian Tire. Check timing, oil, intake and other general items looking for anything suspect.
high HC levels = unburnt hydrocarbons… you are running a bit too rich… usually a new O2 sensor fixes that, but since you already got that, I don’t know what else it could be…
The repairs have to be done at a shop with a certified emission repair tech for you to get a conditional pass. The limit is $450 not $400. What type of cat did you put on? Aftermarket cats are garbage.
^^^ yup… after failing once, my bro went outside to the parking lot and used his V-AFC to pull back so much fuel on his Prelude that he could barely idle… hey tested him again and he passed no prob.
thanks for the input so far guys! But i wish i could get a condictional pass. I need the car register under my name. Anyways i tried the “Guaranteed to pass” on my first test and it did not work at all. Too bad i threw out the receipt or i could got something back from them. I think My timing is advance. When i look at my distributor, it looks like it’s mounted all the way to the left. I’ll try to take some pics of what i mean. Would advacing your timing cause you to run too rich?
here’s a pics of what i’m talking about… I think the timing on the distributor is advance causing it to run rich. Just earlier today i heard the car back fire on idle with a stock exhuast.
Most likely, u have an exhaust leak pre 02 causing the sensor to read improper readings thinking it needs more fuel! check to see for ne cracks on the exhaust mani b4 the 02! if u get rid of CO, u basically get rid of HC at the same time! try the ignition timing too! retard it a bit to help lower combustion chamber temperatures causing NOx. hopes this helps! If ur really worried, add about 1-2L of methyl hydrate to a 1/4 tank and run the car around town for about 10 mins! U should pass with flying colours!
