I have yet to see a e85 pump anywhere, and I travel quite a bit.

Same, hell I did 4000 miles in the past 12 days or so, I still havent seen E85 regularly available yet. I’ve seen it at one station out west and that was it.
mileage depends on teh car, its important to have a tune that will actualy use the benifits of higher octane, and also add the extra fuel needed (stoich mixture on e85 isnt 14.7:1, its between 9.73 & 9.8:1
they usually say you use about 25% more e85 then you would gasoline
let’s say you drive A LOT and fill up twice a week that’s a AMAZING $286/yr

and for saving 286 for the year, you got to run a whole load more boost, which maybe you couldnt have done without new pistons, or without killing a shitload of timing, or something else of the sort
so in some cases, save $300 in gas, save another 200, 500, 1000 in engine mods to get extra power
i like the idea of e85, even if the hype is all bullshit
examples of bullshit hype:
cnbc reported today that e85 can give 50% more mileage , apparently because it burns hotter. and then you can run a smaller gas tank to get the same distance out of a vehical, which saves weight and gives even more milage
they said this all in reference to indy cars, and everything they either said is crap, or indy car specific
